Beer batter onion rings #1

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

1½ | cup | Flour |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1½ | cup | Beer |
3 | larges | Onions; in 1/2\" slices |
Hot oil for frying |
Directions
Combine flour and salt; stir in beer and beat until smooth. Chill for 3 hours. Separate onions into rings, dip in batter and fry in oil until golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle with salt. Keep warm in 200 oven.
Note: This batter is also very good used on banana peppers. Slice peppers in half and remove seeds. Dip in batter and fry.
