1 | Cinnamon stick - 1.5 inch | |
3 | Cardamom pods; up to 4 | |
2 | Black pepper corns; up to 3 | |
2 | Cloves; up to 3 | |
½ | teaspoon | Ground ginger |
1 | cup | Water |
1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Darjeeling tea leaves |
¼ | teaspoon | Masala Spice Mix |
¼ | cup | Milk |
Directions
MASALA SPICE MIX
TO ASSEMBLE
1. Grind cinnamon stick, cardamom, black pepper corns, and cloves to a powder. Stir in ground ginger.
2. Combine water, sugar, tea and ¼ teaspoon spice mix in a pan and bring to a boil. Simmer for one minute.
3. Add milk, bring to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
