Cinnamon sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons Butter -- or margarine
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

Directions

1. In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.

Gradually blend in 2 cups BOILING water. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. 2. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Yield: 2-½ cups of sauce to serve over ice cream, baked bananas, pineapples, and plain cakes.
