Creamy rice pudding

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Cooked rice
1 cup Milk
2 Slightly-beaten eggs
cup Sugar
Cook over simmering water,
Stirring contantly, until
Mixture coats a metal spoon.
Remove from heat.
Add
1 tablespoon Butter or Margarine
1 teaspoon Vanilla
cup Raisin,currants or chopped
Dates

Directions

COMBINE IN TOP OF DOUBLE

BOILER

Pour into serving bowl and allow to stand, without stirring, for 30 minutes Serve warm or chilled, with cream. (I sprinkle cinnamon and/or nutmeg on top.) Taken from an "Old" Purity Flour Cookbook.
