Creamy whipped turnips - country living holidays

Ingredients

1 pounds White turnips or rutabagas
¼ teaspoon Salt
2 To 3 T ha!f-and-hatf
1 teaspoon Butter

Directions

1. Peel turnips; cut into one-inch cubes. Place in a medium saucepan; cover with water and bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, cov- ered, until tender-about 15 minutes.

2. Drain turnips very well. Add salt, cream, and butter. Beat with a hand electric beater until smooth and fluffy. Serve immediately.
