Turnip whip

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 Turnips, peeled & quartered
4 Potatoes, peeled & quartered
2 tablespoons Minced onion
1 teaspoon Salt
Water
¼ cup Light cream
2 tablespoons Soft butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Pepper

Directions

In slow-cooking pot, combine turnips, potatoes, onion and 1 tsp. salt.

Cover with water. Cover pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until vegetables are tender. Drain well. Mash; add cream, butter, ½ tsp salt
