Cucumbers with dill and sour cream

3 larges Cucumbers
2 teaspoons Salt
½ cup Vinegar -- cider or white
2 tablespoons Cold water
1 teaspoon Sugar
3 tablespoons Chopped fresh dill
Freshly ground black pepper
To taste
Sour cream

Directions

Peel the cucumbers and slice very thin, Place in a colander, sprinkle with salt and set aside for ½ hour. Mix the vinegar, water, sugar, and dill, combine with the cucumber slices and mix well. Sprinkle the mxture with pepper and chill until icy cold. Serve with a large spoonful of sour cream on each portion.
