Doris's fruit ice cream

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
5 pints Half and half milk
cup Sugar
¾ cup Chopped nuts
¾ cup Crushed pineapple
½ teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoons Lemon juice
6 Eggs; beaten
tablespoon Vanilla
¾ cup Bananas; diced
¾ cup Cherries; chopped
¾ cup Strawberries; chopped

Directions

Mix Half and Half, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Cook slowly until mixture coats spoon. Remove from heat and cool. Combine fruit, nuts, salt and lemon juice. Let stand 10 minutes. Add to custard and pour in 1-gallon ice cream freezer.
