Egg custard pie

¾ | cup | Sugar; (to 1 cup) |

3 | Eggs; slightly beaten | |
13 | ounces | Milk, evaporated |
1 | tablespoon | Vanilla extract |
Nutmeg, ground |
Directions
Grease and flour a 9" glass piepan. Be sure all areas are well covered.
Combine flour, sugar, and salt; add to eggs. Gradually add evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour into piepan; sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Pie will rise but will settle as it cools and form a light crush.
