Fruity golden waffles

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Rolled oats
cup Whole-wheat flour
¼ cup Dates; chopped or
2 tablespoons Honey
½ teaspoon Salt
5 cups Water

Directions

Mix the oats, flour, dates, raisins, or honey, and salt in a large bowl. Add the water to make a batter. Pour the batter into a blender in batches until consistency is smooth. (or process all at once in a food processor.) Cook for 8 to 10 minutes in a waffle iron set on high. Notes: 1. This freezes well 2. You may omit the sweetener and use these as a base for bean or other savory sauces.
