25 | ounces | Jar unsweetened applesauce |
½ | cup | Sugar |
1½ | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
¼ | teaspoon | Ground allspice |
⅛ | teaspoon | Ground ginger |
⅛ | teaspoon | Ground cloves |
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan, stirring well; bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes; stir often Let cool. Pour mixture into container of electric blender; process at High speed for 10 seconds or until smooth. Store in refrigerator. Yield: about 2 cups.
