1.00 | tablespoon | finely-chopped garlic |
1.00 | cup | orzo pasta -; (1/2 lb) |

1 | freshly-ground black pepper; to taste | |
¼ | cup | assorted chopped fresh herbs |
1 | (such as basil; parsley, and thyme) | |
3½ | cup | chicken stock |
¼ | cup | chopped smoked sausage |
1.00 | tablespoon | unsalted butter; softened |
Directions
Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper.
Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ?? servings.
