Honey-baked apple dessert (microwave)

3 servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 larges Unpeeled cooking apples
¼ cup Light brown sugar; firmly packed
1 tablespoon Pecans; chopped
3 tablespoons Honey
1 tablespoon Brandy
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
1 dash Ground cloves
Vanilla ice cream or whipped topping

Directions

Cut a ¼" slice from top of apples; core each apple to within ⅛" of bottom. Place each apple in a 10-ounce custard cup; set aside.

Combine brown sugar and next 6 ingredients; stir well. Spoon into apple cavities, drizzling excess over apples. Cover each cup tightly with heavy-duty plastic wrap; fold back an edge of wrap to allow steam to escape. Arrange cups in a triangle in microwave. Microwave at HIGH 4 to 7 minutes or until almost tender, rotating triangle at 2-minute intervals. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.

Yield: 3 servings.
