Hot spiced tea - sl 10/83

10 cups

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 eaches 3-inch cinnamon sticks; halved
1 teaspoon Whole cloves
½ teaspoon Allspice
1 quart ;Hot tea
½ cup Sugar
3 cups Orange juice
3 cups Unsweetened pineapple juice
Orange slice quarters (optional)

Directions

Combine first 3 ingredients in a tea ball or cheesecloth bag; set aside.

Combine hot tea and sugar in a large Dutch oven; stir in juice. Add spice mixture and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. Garnish each serving with fresh orange, if desired. Serve hot. Yield: 10 cups.
