Italian sausage and chili strata+

Ingredients

1 pounds Italian sausage, cooked, drained and chopped
4 cups Sourdough bread cubes-trim crusts, approximate 1\" cubes
6 Eggs
Sour cream
Guacamole
Chopped cilantro
½ teaspoon Dry mustard
½ cup Milk
3 cups Shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can Green chilies, mild, diced (7 oz.)
Salsa
Sliced green onions
Sliced black olives

Directions

TO COOK SAUSAGES: Remove sausage from casings. saute it in a skillet, breaking it up with spoon as it cooks. Cool.

TO ASSEMBLE: Generously spray 9 x 13" pan with nonstick spray. Place bread cubes in pan. Beat eggs, mustard and milk until blended. Pour over bread. Sprinkle with cheese. In small bowl, combine chopped sausage and chilies. Spoon over egg mixture. Cover with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate for 5 hours or overnight.

TO BAKE: Remove plastic wrap. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Bake in 350 degree F. oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes.
