Popular daytime television personality Linda Dano has played Felicia Gallant on NBC's "Another World" for 10 years. Linda was also the original host of "Attitudes," a show she hosted for more than 6 years. She love to cook and this recipe, like Linda, is authentically Italian. Linda say that she often uses it when cooking for her husband because it is quick and delicious. You can use it to enjoy the bounty of a home garden or adapt it to the canned tomatoes and dried basil leaves you have on your kitchen shelf. 1 tbsp olive oil 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 8 ripe plum tomatoes, chopped 10 fresh basil leaves, torn 1 tsp granulated sugar salt to taste 1 lb pasta, cooked and drained
ricotta cheese, additional chopped tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves, for a garnish In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium high heat. Cook the garlic for 1-3 minutes, or until browned. Add the tomates, basil, sugar, and salt. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve the sauce over freshly cooked pasta. Top with ricotta cheese, chopped tomatoes, and basil leaves, for garnish. Makes 4 servings. Origin: Cooking with Regis and Kathie Lee. Shared by: Sharon Stevens, Nov/94.
