Mexican caramels

2 | cups | Sugar |
1 | cup | Light brown sugar |
1 | cup | Rich milk or cream |
1 | cup | Nuts; coarsely chopped |
Directions
Put 1 cup sugar in clean iron skillet and stir constantly over low heat until sugar is melted. Then add 1 cup milk or cream and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add next the rest of the sugars and boil steadily until the mixture is at soft ball stage. Take from heat and add 1 cup chopped nuts, stir to creamy consistency and pour into a buttered dish. Cut into squares when set.
