Mock sausage and peppers

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon Plus vegetable oil
½ cup Finely minced green pepper
½ cup Finely minced onion
pounds Ground turkey
¼ teaspoon Ground sage
¼ teaspoon Dried thyme
¼ teaspoon Dried marjoram
teaspoon Ground savory
¼ teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Fennel seeds, crushed
¼ teaspoon Salt

Directions

Heat oil in skillet, add peppers and onions and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Cool. Combine peppers and onions with turkey and remaining ingredients, mixing well. Chill an hour or so to blend flavors. Form into 8 thin patties. Cook in nonstick skillet until lightly browned on both sides.

Per serving: 26g protein, 19g fat, 3g carb., 271mg sodium, 95mg chol., 284 calories.
