Mom's whole wheat bread^

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

3 | cups | Warm water |
¼ | cup | To 1/2 molasses |
2 | tablespoons | Dry yeast (1 cake) |
¼ | cup | Lard, melted |
7 | cups | To 8 whole wheat flour |
Directions
Combine water, molasses and yeast in large bowl; let stand 5 minutes.
Add lard and 5 cups flour. Beat about 110 strokes. Add more flour to make a stiff dough. Knead till smooth and elastic. Let raise till double. Punch down, cover, let raise again. Form into 3 loaves; place in well greased pans; bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
