My corn chowder

4-5 large ears fresh corn, cut off cob | ||
1 | pounds | Bacon, diced |
1 | large | Onion, diced |
3-4 stalks celery, diced | ||
3-4 med potatoes, peeled and cubed | ||
1½ | tablespoon | Oil |
1 | teaspoon | Garlic |
2 | tablespoons | Parsley |
8-12 cups milk or cream |
Directions
Dice bacon and saute in dutch oven with the oil. Add the onions, celery and potatoes, and cook until onion is translucent. Add kernelled corn, and continue to cook until corn starts to take on a bright yellow colour. Add the milk or cream, garlic, parsley, and salt and pepper to taste.
