Nutty date squares

½ | cup | Butter,softened |
¼ | cup | Icing sugar |
1 | cup | All purpose flour |
1 | Egg | |
¼ | cup | Granulated sugar |
1 | pack | (92 g) vanilla pudding and pie filling |
½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
½ | cup | Undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk |
1⅔ | cup | Flaked coconut |
½ | cup | Chopped dates |
½ | cup | Chopped nuts |
Directions
Cream butter and icing sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Gradually add flour. Beat 2 minutes at med. speed. Press evenly onto bottom of greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake in 350 oven for 15 min. Beat egg, gradually beat in granulated sugar. Stir in pudding mix, baking powder, e.
milk, coconut, dates and nuts. Spread over hot crust. Bake 30 to 35 min longer or until done. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
