Prune-nut squares

Ingredients

1 | cup | Pitted prunes |
4 | Eggs | |
½ | cup | Sugar; (less, if you like) |
1 | cup | Chopped walnuts or pecans |
1 | Orange |
Directions
Soak prunes in water to cover overnight. Drain and cut into quarters.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil an 8 x 8 or 6 x 10 baking pan. Quarter the orange, remove the seeds, and grind it together with the peel in a food processor or electric grinder. Beat eggs and sugar together until thick.
Mix together with prunes, walnuts or pecans, and ground orange and juices.
Spread mixture evenly in prepared baking pan and bake 30 minutes in preheated oven. Remove and let cool in pan. When cool, cut into 2 inch squares.
