Okra and fresh tomatoes

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Okra; cut into slices
3 cups Tomatoes; peeled and chopped
3 tablespoons Bacon fat
1 medium Onion; sliced
1 Green pepper; diced
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon Sugar

Directions

Prepare okra and tomatoes. Saute onion and pepper in fat, stirring often, until onion is browned. Add remaining ingredients and cook, covered, over medium heat for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook another 5 minutes.
