Old-fashioned sweet potato pone or puddn

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 mediums Sized yams; grated
¼ cup Cane syrup
¾ cup Sugar
½ teaspoon Allspice
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Eggs; beaten slightly
¾ Stick butter; melted
¼ cup Light cream

Directions

Grate raw yams. Mix sugar, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, syrup, butter and light cream. Add eggs; cream well. Fold in grated yams. Pour into a greased bread pan and bake in 375 degree oven about 45 minute.
