Onion and green bean salad

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 Onions; sliced into rings
1 tablespoon Sugar
2 packs (10-oz) frozen green beans
5 slices Bacon
cup Oil
2 tablespoons White vinegar
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 dash Cayenne pepper

Directions

Place onion rings in bowl; wprinkle with sugar. Cook beans as directed; drain. Cool thoroughly; toss with onion rings. Chill at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Fry bacon, crumble and reserve. At serving time, combine oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Stir until mixed. Pour over bean-onion mixture; add bacon. Toss gently. Makes 6 servings, 180 calories each.
