Papaya sorbet - bon appetit

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 To 4 C cubed, seeded and peeled ripe papaya (from 2 large or 4 small)
¾ cup Papaya nectar or juice
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice

Directions

Puree all ingredients in processor or blender, stopping to scrape down sides, about 3 minutes. Press mixture through fine strainer into bowl to eliminate strings, if desired.

Transfer mixture to ice cream maker and process according to manufactur- er's instructions, or, without an ice cream maker, freeze following directions in Very Berry Ice Milk recipe.

Transfer sorbet to plastic container. Cover and freeze several hours or overnight to mellow flavors. If frozen solid, let soften slightly at room temperature.
