Pasta with creamy garlic and walnut sauce

Ingredients

3 | Cloves garlic; peeled | |
1 | cup | Walnut halves; toasted and cooled |
1½ | cup | Heavy cream |
¾ | cup | Parmesan cheese or Romano; shredded |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Black pepper; ground |
1 | pounds | Shaped pasta; such as bow ties |
Extra walnuts and cheese |
Directions
Place garlic, walnuts, cream, cheese, salt and papper in food processor container fitted with steel blade; cover. Process until smooth.
Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Toss with sauce. Garnish with additional toasted walnuts and fresh herbs and serve immediately with additional cheese, if desired.
