Pasta with fresh tomato sauce

Ingredients

¾ pounds Fusilli lunghi (long curly
Pasta) or other pasta
1 pounds Ripe tomatoes
1 tablespoon Oil drained from sun-dried
Tomatoes
1 medium Onion;chopped
2 Garlic cloves;chopped fine
2 tablespoons Finely chopped drained, sun-
Dried tomatoes
3 tablespoons Chopped fresh basil
Salt and freshly ground
Pepper to taste
½ cup Grated Asiago cheese

Directions

Cook pasta in large amount of boiling salted water until tender; drain.

Meanwhile, halve, seed and chop tomatoes; set aside. In large heavy saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; saute until onion is tender, about 3 minutes. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 1 minute. Add tomatoes, basil and salt and pepper; stir until heated through, about 1 minute.

Add tomato sauce to pasta and toss. Sprinkle cheese on top.
