Pasta with garlic and clams

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Olive oil
4 Cloves garlic, minced
½ cup Onions, chopped
½ cup Green peppers, choppe
½ cup Mushrooms, chopped
2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
2 cans (6 1/2 oz) minced clams
½ teaspoon Thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1 dash Cayene pepper

Directions

Saute the onions, green peppers, and garlic in the olive oil until translucent (add a little water and cover if necessary during this process). Add the mushrooms and continue heating in the covered saucepan for about 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, including all the liquid that comes with the clams, and heat until hot in a covered saucepan.

Serve with 1 cup of spaghetti or linguini and Parmesan cheese (optional).

Makes 4 servings.

Total calories - 270. Add 50 calories per tablespoon of Parmesan cheese.
