Peanut wafers~

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¾ cup Shortening
cup Brown sugar
2 Eggs -- well beaten
3 cups Flour -- sifted
½ teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking powder
3 tablespoons Milk
2 cups Finely chopped peanuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 400~. Cream shortening and add brown sugar gradually.

Add well beaten eggs. Sift flour once before measuring. Mix together flour, salt and baking powder. Add to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Add peanuts. Roll out on floured board to ⅛-inch thickness. Cut and put on a greased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Makes 3½ dozen.
