Pear and raspberry sauce

Ingredients

2 Chopped pears
½ pint Raspberries
2 tablespoons Sugar
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 pinch Ground nutmeg

Directions

A fiber-filled topping for pancakes and waffles; good as a dessert sauce too. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer 15 minutes until slightly thickened.

Yields 2 cups. Per ½ cup serving: 83 calories, ½ g fat (5% of cal); 3½ fiber. Good source of vitamin C.
