Pecan-orange french toast

4.00 eggs; lightly beaten
¼ cup orange juice concentrate
½ cup milk
½ cup finely-ground pecans
½ teaspoon vanilla
teaspoon cinnamon
1.00 pinch nutmeg
10.00 slice french bread -; ( ea 1 thick)

1 unsalted butter
1 maple syrup
1 powdered sugar
1 cooked sausage links

Directions

In a shallow bowl beat together eggs, orange juice concentrate, milk, pecans, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. (Soak for 30 seconds on each side.) In a skillet melt 1 tablespoon butter and cook the bread on both sides over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Serve with butter, syrup, powdered sugar and sausage. This recipe yields 5 servings.
