Peppermint puffs

Quantity Ingredient
cup Butter flavor Crisco
¼ cup Sugar
¼ cup Brown sugar; packed
1 Egg
cup Flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Peppermint candy; crushed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Cream Crisco and sugars in large bowl at medium speed. Beat in egg.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend into creamed mixture.

Stir in crushed candy. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 11-12 minutes. Remove to cooling racks.
