Honey puffs

Ingredients

2 | packs | Active dry yeast |
1 | cup | Warm water |
2 | cups | Warm milk |
¼ | cup | Sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | large | Egg |
4 | cups | All-purpose flour |
Vegatable oil | ||
Honey | ||
Ground cinnamon |
Directions
Combine yeast and warm water in a 2 cupp liquid measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes. Combine yeast mixture, warm milk and next 3 ingredients, stir with a wooden spoon until blended. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, stirring after each addition. Cover and let rise in a warm place 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Pour oil to a depth of 4 inches in Dutch oven. Heat to 375. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls into oil, and fry till golden brown, turning once.
Keep warm and repeat with remaining dough. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon.
