Quick cheese and pepper bread

2 | cups | Flour |
1 | cup | Sharp cheddar cheese; grated |
1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Fresh pepper |
1 | cup | Buttermilk |
⅓ | cup | Margarine |
2 | Eggs |
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of 9X5 loaf pan.
2. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.
3. In a medium bowl combine flour, cheese, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and pepper.
4. In a small bowl combine buttermilk, margarine and eggs; blend well and add to dry mixture.
5. Stir ingredients until just moistened, and pour into greased pan.
6. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool completely on a wire rack, wrap and store in the refrigerator.
