Red apple glazed chicken

Ingredients

16 ounces Jar spiced apple rings, reserve juice
cup Dry bread cubes
1 cup Sliced 1/2\" celery
¼ cup Chopped onion
cup Butter or margarine, melted
2 eaches Tb reserved spiced apple
¼ cup Reserved spiced apple juice
2 eaches Tb light corn syrup juice or water
½ teaspoon Salt
pinch Pepper
pinch Allspice
4-5 lb whole roasting chicken
2 eaches Tb water

MAKES: 6 SERVINGS

STUFFING

GLAZE

Heat oven to 350~. Cut 5 spiced apple rings into eights; reserve remaining apple rings. Combine with remaining stuffing ingredients.

Stuff chicken; secure to body of chicken. Place on rack in roasting pan. In saucepan, combine glaze ingredients. Cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Spoon glaze over chicken. Bake, basting occasionally, for 1 hour. If needed, add ¼ cup water to basting juices. Loosley cover chicken with aluminum foil. Continue baking, basting occasionally, for 1-1½ hours or until chicken is fork tender. Garnish with reserved apple rings.
