Reuben roll

Ingredients

pounds Ground chuck
each To 2 cup rye bread crumbs
1 each Lightly beaten egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup Chopped onion
2 tablespoons Sweet pickle relish
¼ cup Thousand island dressing
½ teaspoon Fresh ground pepper
¾ cup Sauerkraut very well drained
1 cup Shredded swiss cheese plus some for garnish

Directions

Combine beef, bread crumbs, egg, worcestershire, onion, pickle relish, salad dressing and pepper. Place on a sheet of wax paper and shape into a flat 6 x 14 inch rectangle. Leaving a ½ inch border on all sides, sprinkle meat with sauerkraut and swiss cheese. Staring at a short end, roll up, jelly roll fashion - using the paper to help guide the mixture. Place roll in a shallow roasting pan and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Top with additional swiss cheese before serving.
