Saucy mocha pudding

¼ cup Baking cocoa
½ cup Sugar
cup Butter or margarine
cup Sugar
each Egg
½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup All-purpose flour
½ cup Packed brown sugar
½ cup Hot strong coffee
teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
cup Milk
Ice cream or whipped cream,
Optional

In a saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients and keep warm.

Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk to the egg mixture. Spread into a greased 8-in. x 8-in. baking pan. Pour sauce over the batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 deg. for 45-50 minutes or until the cake tests done. When finished, the cake will float in the hot mocha sauce.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. Yield: 9 servings.
