Sausage and macaroni casserole

3 | cups | Macaroni; cooked |
1 | cup | Mushrooms; drained |
1 | cup | Cottage cheese |
¼ | teaspoon | Oregano |
¼ | cup | Spaghetti sauce |
¼ | teaspoon | Basil |
¼ | teaspoon | Garlic powder |
¼ | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
Breadcrumbs (opt) | ||
Grated cheese |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Saute sausage meat till light brown. Drain fat, separate meat with fork, set aside. Saute onion, garlic & mushrooms. Add sausage meat, spices. Stir in sauce. Add macaroni & stir. Arrange alternate layers of macaroni-meat mixture and cottage cheese; ending with meat. Top with bread crumbs & cheese if desired. Bake at 350F for 25-30 min.
