Savory salmon steaks

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

1 | pounds | Salmon steaks; 1 inch thick |
½ | cup | Dry white wine |
2 | tablespoons | Green onion slices |
½ | pounds | Velveeta pasteurized process cheese spread; cubed |
3 | tablespoons | Dry white wine |
¼ | teaspoon | Dried tarragon leaves; crushed |
¼ | teaspoon | Dill weed |
Directions
Place fish in 9-inch square baking dish. Combine wine and onions; pour over fish. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 35 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Combine remaining ingredients; stir over low heat until Velveeta cheese spread is melted. Serve with fish. 2 servings.
Variation: Substitute apple juice for wine.
