Seafood gumbo 1

Ingredients

5 | pounds | Onions -- chopped |
2 | pounds | Okra -- chopped |
1 | pounds | Crabmeat |
2 | pounds | Crab claws |
½ | pint | Oysters |
1 | cup | Parsley -- chopped |
1 | cup | Onion tops -- chopped |
Salt and pepper -- to taste | ||
½ | cup | All-purpose flour |
3 | cups | Rice -- cooked |
Directions
Smother okra well in a pot. In a separate pot, brown flour. After browning flour, add onion and smother and brown. Add okra and let cook for about 10 minutes. Add all vegetables and seasoning. Add about 8 quarts of water and let boil. Add oysters. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes then add crabmeat and crab claws and cook for about 10 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.
