Secret salad (german potato salad)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
5 pounds Potatoes
¼ pounds Bacon -- finely chopped
¼ cup Onion -- chopped
1 tablespoon Flour
2 teaspoons Salt
tablespoon Sugar
¼ teaspoon Pepper
cup Cider vinegar
cup Water
½ teaspoon Celery seed
3 tablespoons Parsley -- chopped

Directions

Cook potatoes in their jackets until tender. Cool, peel and slice thinly. Fry bacon until crisp, add chopped onion and cook 1 minute.

Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper and blend in. Stir in the vinegar and water. Cook 10 minutes, stirring well. Pour dressing over sliced potatoes and add the celery seed and chopped parsley.

Toss and serve warm.
