Sherman salad

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 medium Cabbage
2 larges Onions
1 teaspoon Celery seed
1 teaspoon Prepared mustard
1 cup White vinegar
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Vegetable oil
¾ cup Sugar (or less)

Directions

DRESSING

Shred cabbage, slice onions very thin, and altemate in layers. Combine celery seed, mustard, vinegar and salt for dressing and bring to a boil.

Stir oil into boiling mixture and boil again. Add sugar to boiling mixture, dissolve and pour over vegetables. Do not stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Men like this salad very much. Serves 8.

REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT
