Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ pounds Butter
½ pounds Sugar
1 Egg
1 Egg; separated
3 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 pinch Hirschhornsalz
½ pounds Flour
2 packs (2.-oz) blanched; slivered almonds

Directions

Cream butter & sugar. Add one egg plus one egg yolk & cinnamon. Mix flour & Hirschhornsalz together & add to egg mixture. Place dough on greased baking tin, cover with egg white & sprinkle with almonds. Bake in 400 oven for 10 minutes. Cut into squares while warm.
