Slow and easy doves

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
8 To 10 doves
Salt and pepper
4 tablespoons Cooking oil
1 cup Of flour

Directions

Directions: Put flour in brown paper bag. Shake doves two at a time in bag to coat with flour. Sear birds quickly in large skillet until brown on all sides. Put enough water in skillet to half cover birds.

Cover and simmer for 1½ hours or until doves are tender. Thicken gravy with flour from paper bag.
