Southern country gravy

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Onions; diced
¾ teaspoon Garlic; minced
3 tablespoons Oil (use the oil from frying the tofu)
¼ cup Breading mixture left over from the main recipe, or unbleached flour
teaspoon Yeast, smoked
5 teaspoons Vogue Vegy Base
½ teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Black pepper
1 cup ;water

Directions

Saute the onions and garlic in the oil for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in the breading mixture, yeast, soup base, salt and pepper and cook 3 to 4 minutes longer.

Add half of the water, whisking it into the onion and flour mixture.

When it thickens, add the remaining water, whisking to a light consistency.
