Spanish anise sticks

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Sugar
¼ cup Shortening
2 Well beaten eggs
2 drops Anise oil

Directions

Heat oven to 375. Blend dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Stir in eggs & oil; mix well with hands. Using ½ dough at a time, roll ¼" thick on lightly floured board. Cut in sticks, 4*1½". Place on ungreased sheet, about ½" apart. Brush with soft butter. Bake 10-12 minutes.
