Spicy black beans with onion and bacon - bon appetit

Ingredients

¼ pounds Bacon, chopped
1 large Onion, chopped
2 larges Garlic cloves, chopped
2 15 to 16-oz cans black beans, rinsed, drained
1 can (16-oz) diced peeled tomatoes
1 can (4-oz) diced green chilies
tablespoon Chili powder
2 teaspoons Dried oregano
¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Directions

Cook bacon in heavy large saucepan over medium heat until light brown, about 10 minutes. Add onion and garlic and saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients. Simmer until chili is thick, stirring frequently, about 12 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
