Spicy braised cabbage

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 small Purple onion -- chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon Curry powder
½ teaspoon Garlic powder
¼ teaspoon Powdered ginger
½ teaspoon Chili powder
2 ounces Peanut oil
2 pounds Cabbage -- cut in 1\" wedges
1 cup Stock

Directions

In a 3 quart saucepan saut the onions and spices in oil until the onions are tender. Add the cabbage and saut until the cabbage just begins to lose its crispness. Add the stock and simmer for 5 minutes.
