Spicy chunky pizza sauce

Ingredients

28 ounces Crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons Tomato paste
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Basil
1 teaspoon Onion powder
½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic powder, basil, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook over low heat for 25 minutes, or until sauce is thickened and the flavors have blended. Spread sauce evenly over a pizza dough or crust as directed in pizza recipe.

Per serving: 38 Calories; less than one gram Fat (1% calories from fat); 2g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 247mg Sodium NOTES : Use immediately or let cool, then, store, tightly covered, in refrigerator until ready to use. This doubles and freezes nicely.Yields: 2½ cups.
